More than 20 arts and crafts booths, plus two musical performances, are scheduled for Art in the Garden on Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lendonwood Gardens. The event is free and open to the public.
Booths located throughout the garden will feature the work of painters, jewelry makers, wire sculptors, and potters, among others. Exhibitors will include young school-age arts as well as professional artists and accomplished crafters. Many artworks will be for sale by the artists.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., visitors will be treated to the sounds of two musical bands, Lindsay Page’s My Red Muse and Jana Jae and Friends. Jana Jae’s band will perform from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and My Red Muse will perform from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bands will set up near the back entrance next to the stream and Zen Garden.
The performances are offered as part of ArtSplash 2025, a local effort to showcase area talent with support from the Oklahoma Arts Council, Local Bank, National Endowment for the Arts, and Grand Area Creative Alliance.
This marks the second year for Jana Jae and Friends to appear at Art in the Garden. Last year, the group was one of two bands to entertain artists and visitors alike.
“We are delighted to add music to the many arts on display at Art in the Garden,” said Pauline Hale, Lendonwood president. “The ArtSplash 2025 program, organized by the Creative Alliance, allows the whole community to enjoy and appreciate all the talents that exist in our area.”
During Art in the Garden, entrance to Lendonwood is free for the public to explore the botanical garden and enjoy the displays of arts and crafts.
“This event offers a special opportunity to enjoy amazing artworks against a backdrop of nature’s beauty,” Hale said.
Located at 1308 Har-Ber Road in Grove, Lendonwood displays large collections of azaleas, rhododendrons, dogwoods, daylilies, Japanese maple trees and more. The garden is open year-round during daylight hours.
